HISTORY OF LUNA'EVA ENTERPRISE LIMITED

Lunaeva Enterprises Limited is a privately owned Company of Mr. and Mrs. Mafi of Malapo, The Kingdom of Tonga.

The Company had it’s early humble beginning in early 1990 with Mr. Mafi growing squash and operating a Toyota Truck doing earth moving jobs for various Quarry Operators.

1991
Mrs. Eveeva started her little groceries store on Tuku’aho Road, Malapo, Tongatapu and trading as 'Eva's Store.

1992
Mr. and Mrs. Mafi had some local funding and acquired 2 more dump trucks. Mr. Mafi also also still growing more squash and other root crops for commercial sale in the local market.

1995
Malapo Quarry was registered as a Proprietorship of Mr. Mafi and acquired a quarry in Malapo and started selling quarry products and paying the landowner royalties on volume carted out of Quarry.

1997
Acquired more dump trucks and machinery.

1998
Opened Office at Eva's Store. Also opened Lunaeva Gas Station at Veitongo.

2000
Malapo Quarry was incorporated as a registered Company.

2002
Acquired Bulldozer and hydraulic crushing plant. 

2003
Construction of current Head Office at Malapo. Acquired ready Mixing trucks and set up batching plant.

2004
Construction of current Head Office buildings and adjacent Workshop.

2005
Opened new Gas Station at Pahu, Tongatapu. The Company also invested a new Crushing Plant from New Zealand. Company moved Banking to ANZ Bank.

2007
Opened Maui, Hihifo Road, Tongatapu Gas Station.

2008
Relocation of Crushing Plant to current site on Toloa Roads.

2010
Company is recognised as the biggest Earthmoving Supplier and Contractor in The Country. It also has become the biggest retailer of petroleum products in the Country through its network outlets of Gas Station.

2011
Acquired more dump trucks and machineries and upgrade current base facilities.

2012
Acquired Bitumen spreader and it’s accessories and also carried out Road contracts for the World Bank and Goverment of Tonga.

2014
Started work on implementing a new Industrial Production Line of having a crushing plant, batching plant and block making all at its current site. Sunland Fabricators of New Zealand was contracted to fabricate a new heavy duty crushing plant.

2015
The Company ventured into Supermarket and wholesaling business and has a Supermarket in downtown Nuku'alofa, a Minimart at Ha'ateiho and in addition to 'Evas' Store which is still trading from it's original site at Malapo.
Installation of new Crushing Plant as the Phase 1 of this Project.
